Teenage love. Pure nonsense which helps us growing.

Teenage love. Pure nonsense which helps us growing.

From the age of around 12, girls start giggling each time they see a boy. Boys start to see girls differently. They start having crushes on anyone! I've heard some had for their teachers, neighbors, childhood friends, and so on! That's normal, but the thing is, they allow themselves to say the words "I love you" when they don't know its meaning...at all. (especially for girls) Parents find this funny and innocent. But when their daughter pronounce the other three words..."I lov..." oh no sorry, not this, THIS ---> "I am pregnant" ,
then they'll realize that they should have taught their child moral sense of value and respect. Not all parents are the same. But most of the parents nowadays always work and don't give crucial time to their children, who tend to think that love is money as their parents always give them money instead of being with them.

Back to the subject, yes, teenage love is nonsense, it is the cause of numerous heartbreaks and lack of focus in studies but then, it is the fruit of beautiful memories, and the feeling itself is great. There are a lot of cases of teens marrying later on in their lives - these are True cases of love, and sincerely I'm So glad for them.

But, being a teen of 16 years old already, I see all these other teens spoiling their future. They tend to forget their priorities and think that their boyfriend/girlfriend is THE ONE. But it is so rare. They are just Afraid of being alone in the future. Seeing their friends having boyfriends/girlfriends, they feel alone and want one too. And then, you know what's next:

first love
first kiss
first time
first heartbreak

and then, you have the same thing in the same order but remove the "first" in front.

Teens, when they break up,  immediately think: it is the end of the world, that everything will be different from then on, that everyone is against them, that it will be one interesting story that their friends' ears will suffer for months. Yes, things will definitely be different from then on, you cannot deny that. These experiences will teach them how to choose 'The one' and how to differentiate between the jerk and the good one.

.: ~~~ :.

Personally, yes I am afraid of being alone in the future, of doing mistakes & of deceiving my parents.
But I have to use this fear to gain courage. The absence of fear does not make courage. On the contrary, we all need a little pint of fear to be brave and be strong enough to face what we need to face.

My solutions :

I'll hope that I'll find The One someday. Maybe tomorrow or in 5 years, who knows? All I can do is be accessible (not too much), be open, be confident and be myself.

We all do mistakes, without them life wouldn't develop and bring happiness. Without mistakes, life would be boring. All I can do is accept them and move on. As an old person whom I forgot the name said : 'We learn through our mistakes' (with the number of mistakes I made, school is useless) ^^'

We never deceive our parents, we only make them worry more. All we have to do is gain confidence, study hard, so that in 8 years time, we'll be genuinely happy and proud of our life.

Teenage love may be nonsense, but it is so beautiful and full of passion. I understand how we can easily fall into its claws and be its prey. We can't help it. But then, we shouldn't let our heart control our mind.

You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams. ~ Dr. Seuss

That's all I have to say...for now! :]

The Secret of happiness

.: ~~~ :.
A merchant sent his son to learn the Secret of Happiness from the wisest of men. The young man wandered through the desert for forty days until he reached a beautiful castle at the top of a mountain. There lived the sage that the young man was looking for.
However, instead of finding a holy man, our hero entered a room and saw a great deal of activity; merchants coming and going, people chatting in the corners, a small orchestra playing sweet melodies, and there was a table laden with the most delectable dishes of that part of the world.
The wise man talked to everybody, and the young man had to wait for two hours until it was time for his audience.
With considerable patience, the Sage listened attentively to the reason for the boy’s visit, but told him that at that moment he did not have the time to explain to him the Secret of Happiness.
He suggested that the young man take a stroll around his palace and come back in two hours’ time.
“However, I want to ask you a favor,” he added, handling the boy a teaspoon, in which he poured two drops of oil. “While you walk, carry this spoon and don’t let the oil spill.”
The young man began to climb up and down the palace staircases, always keeping his eyes fixed on the spoon. At the end of two hours he returned to the presence of the wise man.
“So,” asked the sage, “did you see the Persian tapestries hanging in my dining room? Did you see the garden that the Master of Gardeners took ten years to create? Did you notice the beautiful parchments in my library?”
Embarrassed, the young man confessed that he had seen nothing. His only concern was not to spill the drops of oil that the wise man had entrusted to him.
“So, go back and see the wonders of my world,” said the wise man. “You can’t trust a man if you don’t know his house.”
Now more at ease, the young man took the spoon and strolled again through the palace, this time paying attention to all the works of art that hung from the ceiling and walls. He saw the gardens, the mountains all around the palace, the delicacy of the flowers, the taste with which each work of art was placed in its niche. Returning to the sage, he reported in detail all that he had seen.
“But where are the two drops of oil that I entrusted to you?” asked the sage.
Looking down at the spoon, the young man realized that he had spilled the oil.
“Well, that is the only advice I have to give you,” said the sage of sages. “The Secret of Happiness lies in looking at all the wonders of the world and never forgetting the two drops of oil in the spoon.”

The Funny Thing About Human Beings

15 seconds reading!

Being a devoted reader of Paulo Coelho's books, I've come accross a nice small text which I'm sure you'll appreciate. :]

' A man asked my friend Jaime Cohen: 'What is the human being's funniest characteristic?'
Cohen said: 'Our contradictoriness. We are in such a hurry to grow up, and then we long for our lost childhood. We make ourselves ill earning money, and then spend all our money on getting well again. We think so much about the future that we neglect the present, and thus experience neither the present nor the future. We live as if we were never going to die, and die as if we had never lived.'
